Mission

22 Signal Regiment is tasked to provide General Support ICS to Land component formations including the ARRC, a UK Division and Joint Helicopter Command (JHC) (including 16 Air Assault Brigade), contributing to military effect in order to support crisis management options of the sustainment of extant operations.

Role

22 Signal Regiment is currently equiped with the Ptarmigan Communications system. The Regiment will soon be equiped with the J1/J4 IOS and RICHELIEU and in 2009 will begin to bring FALCON into service which will revolutionise network delivery in the tactical land environment.

Currently members of the Regiment are serving in Afghanistan administrering the J1/J4 IOS. The Regiment are also providing personell to take part in public duties throughout the London area.

22 Signal Regiment is based at Beacon Barracks, Beaconside, Stafford, ST18 0AQ.
