57 Signal Squadron (V)
Role of 57 Signal Squadron
The Squadron provides a rapid deployment of reliable and robust communications with the additional requirement of resilience. This means that the Squadron can be called upon to support the government, police and other blue light services at little to no notice.
Previously the Squadron deployed at minimal notice to support the police by providing communications during the Gloucestershire floods.
Much of the time is spent working hard and training, one night a week in the Territoral Army Centre and at least two weekends on exercise.
As well as the Regiment Adventure Training 57 Sqn provide a wide variety of adventure training and the chance to get qualified as an instructor.
There are many opportunities to participate in varied sports and activities and we are always looking for people with sporting talents that they can bring to the Squadron.
