32nd Signal Regiment (Volunteers)

Due to the restructuring of the Territorial Army (TA) 32 Signal Regiment (V) has now taken command of Squadrons based in Belfast, Darlington, Edinburgh, East Kilbride, Glasgow, Hartlepool, Limavady, Liverpool and Manchester.
Are you looking for something extra from your life, a rewarding experience outside normal working hours?
You will find it in the Territorial Army. The TA Royal Signals offers the best of both worlds to people who find the idea of the Army life appealing, but who are unable to make a full-time commitment.
We provide vital communications support to the Armed Forces and Emergency Services during times of crisis, responding to terrorist threats & attacks, flooding, industrial action and outbreaks of disease.
We use some of the latest military and off-the-shelf communications and IT equipment, some of which is kept at a moments notice to move to respond anywhere in the country.
We are soldiers and expert communicators.
32 SIGNAL REGIMENT COME TO THE RESCUE
Jacqui Methven, a SORT (Special Operations Response Team) paramedic with the Scottish Ambulance Service, and territorial soldier Lance Corporal Mark McVey help a fallen casualty as local temperatures plummet to minus 14 degrees.
Commanding Officer of 32 Signal Regiment (Volunteers), Lieutenant Colonel Philip Donegan, explained:
"TA soldiers from 32 Signal Regiment (Volunteers) have been providing close support to the Scottish Ambulance Service. Since deploying late on Monday evening 6th Dec they have been extremely busy.
"They have been conducting a number of driving details including ferrying paramedics to those requiring medical assistance but who are unable to travel to hospital.
"The soldiers have also been busy rescuing those who require immediate medical care or who are at risk from the severe cold. Typically this has been the elderly, infirm and infants.
The challenge has been varied and the soldiers have been called to assist with fractures, women in labour and cold weather injuries.
