Royal Signals Freefall Parachute Display Team
The Royal Signals Freefall Parachute Display Team consists of soldiers from the Royal Corps of Signals who volunteer their time in order to promote the Royal Signals at both public and private events throughout the UK. All team members are employed within the wider Corps and are drawn from across all in Royal Signals trades. The team aims to demonstrate and promote the personal and professional qualities that are required of serving Royal Signals officers and soldiers.

Team members carry out extensive training, in their own time, to be recertified each year (mandatory requirement) in order to conduct displays at events throughout the country. Each of the parachutists has a minimum of 200 descents logged which include several descents into simulated arenas using the teams' Triathlon 175 canopies. Training also incorporates the use of smoke dischargers whilst in freefall and under canopy, in addition to canopy flight drills whilst trailing under slung large flags (typically the Corps flag, Union Jack flag and or sponsors flag). The Display Team joins up with Somerfield Balloons again in 2008 to assist with promoting their chosen charity, MacMillan Cancer Support.

The team are also heavily involved with the Royal Signals Sports Parachute Association (RSSPA), which includes members who have competed in competition at regional, national and international levels. Their expertise is highly regarded by the Army Parachute Association (APA); several RSSPA members regularly instruct both novice and more experienced skydivers. The team can also organise adventure training for Royal Signals Units or assist in its planning. This can range from single jump, static line parachuting to overseas expeditions in order to carry out Accelerated Free Fall (AFF).
