The Royal Signals Corps Recruiting Team are based at the home of the Royal Corps of Signals in Blandford Camp, Dorset. We are responsible for raising awareness of the diversity of career opportunities within the Royal Signals amongst our target audience (16-24 years old).

Army Careers Exhibitions
An Army Careers Exhibition is a large show where every facet of the British Army is represented. You will be able to see various equipment which the British Army use, talk to soldiers about their career and gather lots of information to help you decide whether or not a career in the Army is for you and indeed, which area you may prefer the most.
The shows are designed to increase awareness of the opportunities and lifestyle available within the Army and are aimed at school/ Further Education college students as well as the general public at large.
The UK has been dissected into 10 distinct regions and each region is responsibly for hosting an Army Careers Exhibition each year, so wherever you live there will be a show near you at some point throughout the year!
Insight Courses
We run a five-day residential course for potential recruits (14-19 years) who have expressed a particular interest in joining the Royal Signals. The course aims to provide the potential recruits with a more detailed overview of the opportunities available within the Royal Signals and highlights the trade qualifications which they could gain. This is greatly assisted by the multitude of resources which the Royal School of Signals can provide, allowing the potential recruits to experience interaction with various equipment, as well as the chance to engage with current trade instructors and soldiers undertaking training.
Attending a Royal Signals Insight Course at Blandford is an excellent way to see if a career in IT/Communications is really for you.
Potential recruits can be loaded onto one of our courses through their local Army Careers Advisor (ACA)/ Armed Forces Careers Office (AFCO). We are currently running 6 Insight Courses per year.

Other Events/Visits
We are occasionally available to attend events such as Skills Festivals or visit schools/ Further Education colleges. This is to build interest in the general public and informs students that a career in the Royal Signals could be a viable option which they may have not ordinarily considered.
