Joint Communications Unit (Falkland Islands)

In the Falkland Islands there is a Joint Communications Unit (JCU) providing the Electronic Warfare and command and control systems for the Royal Navy, Army and Air Force stationed there

The Islands

A British Dependent Territory situated in the South Atlantic, 350 miles north east of Cape Horn.

They consist of about 200 islands, with the main settlements on the two largest islands, East & West Falkland.

About 500 Army personnel are currently stationed on the Falkland Islands. They work within the following groups: an Infantry Company Group, an Engineer Squadron, a Signals Unit, a Logistics Group and Supporting Services.
