Royal Signals Sport

Sport has always played an important part of life in the Royal Signals and maximum opportunity is given to both officers and soldiers to take part in a wide variety of sports.

Developing Leadership

Sport, in all forms, is recognised as developing leadership qualities, team spirit and self reliance, as well as adding to the quality of life of any soldier.

All recruits undergoing training at 11th Signal Regiment at Blandford take part in the 'Sport For All' scheme where they are introduced to a variety of sports which they may not have experienced before.

The Corps is strongly represented by sailors in various successful sailing teams.

Soldiers, both Regular and TA, should be competent and confident in using their personal weapons.

Corps Water Sport

The Royal Signals continue to be the most successful Corps within the Army in both Swimming and Water Polo.

We enjoy enormous success not only at Corps level but also at Unit level.

We also contribute a large quantity of  Water Polo players to the Army and Combined Services squads.

We continue to invest in Water Polo players and strive to meet the career aspirations of the player whilst supporting their interest in this sport.
