Royal Signals Sport

Sport has always played an important part of life in the Royal Signals and maximum opportunity is given to both officers and soldiers to take part in a wide variety of sports.

Developing Leadership

Sport, in all forms, is recognised as developing leadership qualities, team spirit and self reliance, as well as adding to the quality of life of any soldier.

All recruits undergoing training at 11th Signal Regiment at Blandford take part in the 'Sport For All' scheme where they are introduced to a variety of sports which they may not have experienced before.

The Corps is strongly represented by sailors in various successful sailing teams.

Soldiers, both Regular and TA, should be competent and confident in using their personal weapons.

Corps Cross Country

Royal Signals Corps Cross Country has dominated the Inter Corps male and female individual and team competitions.

Some of our best have gone on to represent the Army and Great Britain.

Royal Signals Cross Country has one clear objective; that the male and female teams dominate the Inter Corps Championships.

The Cross Country Team members prepare, train and compete in all of the Army and Inter Corps Championships.
