Territorial Soldier
Royal Engineers Territorial soldiers carry out a similar role to that of their regular counterparts often working along side or embedded within a regular Regiment. Each Royal Engineers Territorial unit is affiliated to a regular Royal Engineer unit.

By joining a Territorial unit with the Royal Engineers, you will learn new skills, use your existing ones and combine it all with your existing civilian career.
The Royal Engineers are the Army's construction experts. As part of your training, you will not only complete the same basic training as everyone else in the Army as well as military engineering skills all along with training for a specific chosen trade. The opportunity will exist to take part in exercises as well as operations. Depending on the type of unit you join your basic annual training commitment will be either 19 or 27 days
