Heating and Plumbing

The Role:

The Army's Heating and Plumbing Engineers are responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of heating and plumbing systems. You will be either working on existing installations or constructing new ones in the field.

The Skills:

Heating and Plumbing Engineers are mainly concerned with the provision of hot and cold water management to military installations. The initial training covers the whole spectrum of the plumbing world ranging from basic drainage and sanitation to the installation and testing of pressurised hot water heating systems.

Subsequent courses will then specialise in the safe use of both natural and liquid petroleum gas appliances and the associated pipework.
