The Role:

Electricians are mainly concerned with electrical installation work, power generation and distribution. The Army utilises existing facilities, as well as constructing modern bases in the field, and you are likely to find yourself either working on existing electrical installations or constructing and commissioning new ones.

The training covers electrical technologies, electrical regulations with practical workshop skills, power generation, distribution and utilisation. It also covers the installation and maintenance of a variety of wiring systems.

The Skills:

Your specialist training will teach you how to install and maintain wiring systems in camps and bases, as well as the skills needed to operate power generation and distribution systems. You will also gain a Category B driving licence.
