151 (London) Transport Regiment is London's only transport regiment and can trace its history back to the formation of The Royal Waggon Train in Croydon in 1801.

Today our modern Territorial Army Regiment is as busy as any Regular Army Regiment fully embracing the One Army Concept. Our soldiers come from all walks of civilian life and they live and work within London's local communities.

The Regiment has three Transport Squadrons based at Sutton, Southall, and Barnet with outstations at Ilford and Clapham. Each squadron can transport up to 1600 Tonnes of equipment into any theatre of operations.

The Regiment also has a Petroleum Squadron based in Warley, Essex with an outstation in Maidstone, Kent. The Squadron is trained to build Bulk Fuel Installations and long distance pipelines. It can hold and distribute over 1 million litres of fuel - enough to fill 170,000 family cars.

The Regiment offers high quality training, challenge, excitement, adventure, trade skills and a great social life plus the chance to deploy on operations. We recruit from a diverse range of social, ethnic, and religious groups, which is representative of todays modern society. A modern TA Regiment operating in today's modern Army.
