12 Logistic Support Regiment (12 LSR) provides logistic close and general support to 4th Mechanized Brigade; supplying and distributing everything our fighting troops need. 12 LSR currently provides the Close Support Logistic Regiment (CSLR) in Afghanistan. Its role is to fight logistic support through to all areas of Helmand by Combat Logistic Patrol.

Formed in 2006, 12 LSR has since deployed to Poland (Exercise ULAN EAGLE), Iraq (Operation TELIC 11), Canada (Exercise MEDMAN 1 and 2/09) and Afghanistan (Operation HERRICK 12).

The Regiment comprises a Headquarters squadron; two Close Support (transport-heavy) squadrons; a General Support (supply-heavy) squadron and a REME Light Aid Detachment.

Based largely in Abingdon, UK, one Close Support squadron is based in Gutersloh, Germany. We enjoy a 'twinning' relationship with 150 Transport Regiment (Volunteers).
