27 Regiment
27 Regiment RLC is currently based in Gale Barracks, Aldershot and is part of 101 Logistic Brigade. It consists of 77 Headquarters Squadron, 7 Transport Squadron, 8 Fuel Squadron and 19 Tank Transporter (TT) Squadron based in Bulford.
Currently the Regiment is deployed on Op TOSCA and Op HERRICK. In addition to RHQ and 77 HQ Sqn, 19 TT Sqn is the only UK based Sqn providing the Tank Transporter functionality for HQ Land. 8 Fuel Sqn consists of Petroleum Operators and CST drivers, performing the fuel supply function for Brigade and Divisional level exercises. 7 Tpt Sqn consists of DROPS and performs daily tasks while in the peacetime role.
27 Regt RLC was the LSR as well as the CSS OMLT in Afghanistan for Op HERRICK 7. After returning from Op TOSCA, the Regiment will again be preparing to deploy on Op HERRICK 14.
