150 (Yorkshire) Transport Regiment Royal Logistic Corps (Volunteers) is the only established Territorial Army (TA) Band based in East Yorkshire and prides itself on serving both the public and military in the Yorkshire area, the UK and abroad.

Band Rehearsal and Engagements

The Band's musicians meet twice weekly for rehearsals spending the majority of its time improving their skills and musical diversity whether it be in the wind band or one of their many ensembles. In the interests of the bands performance, it is expected that enlisted musicians attend as many rehearsals as possible but understand that all musicians have other work and personal commitments. 

The music in the rehearsal often varies from in-depth rehearsals to sight-reading; whatever form teh rehearsal takes it always ensures that all its musicians are employed and working toward an achievable goal. 

Many engagements are undertaken for a wide variety of sponsors and can include dinner nights, marching displays, concerts, ensembles and other forms of groups. Musical diversity is the key.

Musical Training

To achieve higher pay bracket and promotion throughout your career as a musician you will be examined on your musical competence moving through the three Trade Employment Qualifications (TEQs) which are standardised by the Associated BoardDon't forget that with each higher TE Q and rank comes a higher rate of daily pay.
