Skills taught: A full driving licence and qualifications in handling hazardous materials and how to store, transport and care for fuels in all conditions and all operational environments. You will travel the world and learn how to be calm under pressure. These skills are always in demand.

As a professional soldier and petroleum operator you will be trained to an exceptional standard in order to keep the Army moving. You'll learn about all aspects of fuel and petroleum management because without fuel, the Army simply cannot operate.

You'll be in charge of fuel, oil and lubricants for all vehicle types, including tanks and trucks to helicopters.

You'll learn how to store, transport and care for fuels in all conditions and all operational environments. You'll gain qualifications in setting up and dismantling pipeline systems and fuel farms, as well as keeping pipelines and tanks clean and testing for contamination.

You will also be trained in fire-fighting and controlling petrol fires. The role is varied and interesting and requires determination and the will to succeed.
