Skills taught: You can learn to drive just about anything, and handle just about any load, from fruit to tanks, and eventually learn management of different aspects of transport. You'll travel all over the world and there's always jobs for drivers and fleet managers.
Being an RLC Driver is an investment for life. As a trained soldier you'll learn how to drive and maintain an assortment of vehicles, and carry all types of cargo and loads. You could find yourself driving on or off-road, in deserts or through dangerous mountain terrain in daylight or at night.
You'll be trained for your Large Goods Vehicles (LGV) licence and can go on to specialise with different types of vehicles, including tank transporters, support vehicles and ambulances.
Longer term you'll be trained in all aspects of fleet management and vehicle support setting you up with a trade you'll always be able to count on.
