Being an Ammunition Technician calls for intelligence, clear thinking, a calm outlook and excellent attention to detail. You'll also need good people skills, because when it comes to handling ammunition, you need to be heard and understood. This job is about safety and protection. People's lives will depend on you.

As a trained soldier you'll develop specialist skills to test, inspect, maintain and dispose of all sorts of ammunition, from bullet clips to anti-aircraft guided weapon systems and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED). You'll become a technical expert and gain skills that will be valuable for the rest of your life.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS YOU'LL NEED

GCSE grade C or better (or equivalent) in English, Maths and either Physics, Science or Integrated Science, calm under pressure, attention to detail, quick thinking, good with people.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU'LL EARN

Full driving license: Cat C & C+E and HAZMAT. BTEC Certificate Engineering.
