Vehicle Mechanic

The Vehicle Mechanic (VM) is capable of repairing all types of Army Vehicles and Mechanical Equipment from Tanks to generators. Due to the complex nature of this role we ask that you have prior experience as a mechanic or similar field in engineering.

Vehicle Electrician

The role of the Vehicle Electrician (VE) is to diagnose, repair, maintain, inspect and modify of the electrical systems fitted to all Army vehicles from Tanks to generators. Due to the complex nature of this trade we ask that you have prior experience of electrics.

Recovery Mechanic

The Recovery Mechanic (RM) is a highly skilled recovery equipment operator, specialising in the recovery of both tracked and wheeled vehicles. The RM applies elementary mechanics to recover broken down, damaged, bogged or overturned vehicles.

Metalsmith

Metalsmiths manufacture, repair and modify tools and components from ferrous and non-ferrous metals, alloys and sheet metals. They use welding, sheet metalwork and the skills of the blacksmith in their trade.

Armourer

Armourers repair and maintain the Army's weapon systems, from rifles to the AS9O gun. It's a varied job in which you will be trained to maintain and repair all the Army's weapon systems. For this role you will have to pass Government Security Clearance.

Technical Support Specialist

The REME uses hundreds of tools and specialised pieces of equipment to keep the Army up and running.  The role of the TS Spec is to control and manage issue of these equipments and to assist the tradesmen and women get their job done right first time.
