The British Army operates throughout the world in some of the most difficult terrain and conditions. The equipment used is specially adapted to cope with the differing conditions and their operators are trained to keep equipment working to its full potential.

British Army equipment is constantly updated and modified. Specialised Trials and Development Units rigorously test all new developments in armoured vehicles, artillery and infantry equipment, making sure we have the very best available.

Springer is an all-terrain vehicle with the ability to carry a combat load of one tonne. With a crew of two, Springer is focused on moving combat supplies.

The Army will receive the Panther Command and Liaison Vehicle by summer 09, replacing some of the in-service CVR(T)s, TUMs, Saxon and FV432 vehicles.

Mastiff 2 is a heavily armoured, 6 x 6 wheel-drive patrol vehicle which carries eight people, plus two crew. It began operational duties in June 2009.
