Here, he talks candidly about his experiences and how his life has been turned around by joining the Territorial Army.

By his own admission, as a young man, Private Kyle Simpson was a thug and a tear-away. He was always in trouble with the police and lacked any focus and direction. But at the age of twenty two, he joined the Territorial Army and those around him have been forced to admit his character went through a dramatic transformation.

At home in Bridlington in East Yorkshire, he is a plasterer, but as a Reservist, Pte Simpson has already served a six-month tour of Afghanistan. While in Italy on exercise with 4 YORKS, he has spoken candidly about his experience and how his life has been turned around by joining the Territorial Army.
