Military bands are traditionally seen as Marching Band and this band is more than capable of this, performing in full Scottish ceremonial order, including Kilts.  They will often perform with Pipers from the Regiment adding that true Scottish touch to any event. 

 

The band has a fantastic symphonic concert band capability but it also has a number of smaller ensembles available.

The ensembles available include:

• Brass Group - Comprising of two Trumpets, French Horn, Tenor Trombone and Tuba, our Brass Quintet is a very versatile ensemble. Performing a diverse range of music from Bach through to covers of present day hits, the group is frequently used in support of Regimental Mess Dinners and similar occasions.
• Dance Band - Our full size dance band is our largest ensemble capable of creating that classic Big Band sound ideal for theme nights or party occasions. Playing the standards from many of the big names in Big Band music over the years, the Dance Band is able to perform with male and female vocalists delivering an outstanding performance of all your favourites. The highlight of the Dance Band's capability, is the authentic tribute performance of the songs of Frank Sinatra performed by our very own 'Blue Eyes,' Sgt Moray Innes.
• Dixie Band - Bringing the classic sounds of traditional jazz from the streets of New Orleans, our Dixie Band brings that summer feeling to Cocktail Party or outdoor function. This infectious music provides light entertainment guaranteed to bring a smile to all.
• Folk Group - 'Drop o' the Good Stuff' are a unique group of musicians, performing a mixture of traditional and contemporary Irish and Scottish Folk Music, ranging from The Dubliners to The Saw Doctors. An ideal group to add celtic flair and entertainment to any event. 
• Fanfare Trumpets - When a sense of impact and occasion is required, the Fanfare Team delivers first-class results. Performing at many high profile events over the year within Edinburgh and further a field, the precision playing and visual impression of this ensemble is second to none.
• Woodwind Quintet - When a more subtle ambience is required, our Woodwind Quintet is ideal performing light classical music. Performing at prestigious Civic receptions and Regimental Mess Dinners, the ensemble provides light accompaniment to the occasion.
• Sax Quartet - This ever popular quartet blends a diverse range of music into your evening from Jazz to arrangements of classical music specially put together for this ensemble. Equally at home providing support to Regimental Mess Dinners or Cocktail parties, the group gives a lift to any occasion.
