The Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland

The role of the Band is to support the Army, the State and all ceremonial occasions that occur in Scotland's capital and the wider Army as required. The Band is part of the Corps of Army Music

The Scottish soldier is inextricably linked with the imagery of pipes and drums, with a long tradition of marching with a military band; as early as 1763 there is mention of a band of music in the 1st or Royal Regiment of Foot.

The role of the Band is to support the Army and the State and all ceremonial occasions that occur in Scotland's capital city and beyond.

These engagements include:

  • State and Ceremonial events
  • Public events
  • Events in support of the Army
