Media Operations Group

The Media Operations Group known as MOG(V) is a specialist Territorial Army unit recruited from across the UK. Its members regularly form part of the deployed British Army on operations in all theatres and they deliver specialist media training on military exercises from a Joint (Army/Royal Navy/RAF) HQ down to a battlegroup.

In this section you can find out more on the role of media operators or about being a member of the unit. If you are interested and would like to find out more about joining one of the most interesting and diverse units in the TA, follow the link to Contact MOG(V).

MOG(V) is expanding rapidly and on the look-out for highly capable individuals from a variety of backgrounds. If you have experience or an interest in military media operations, contact us to be considered for our next selection board.

Combat Camera Team

These teams are the key to gathering footage of British Army operations in Afghanistan.

Every six months a new team deploys, usually under the command of a MOG(V) officer (a captain or lieutenant).

They accompany army patrols and can go where danger prevent civilian journalists working.
