6 Regiment

6 Regiment RLC is part of 102 Logistic Brigade and consists of almost 500 personnel, organised into three Squadrons and a REME Light Aid Detachment (LAD).

The Regiment was known as 6 Supply Regiment from it's formation in April 1993 until December 2008, and has deployed on operations in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Cyprus. The main operational focus is now supporting ongoing operations in Afghanistan as part of Operation HERRICK.

600 Headquarters Squadron, 62 Material Squadron, 64 Fuel and General Transport Squadron and the LAD are based at Princess Royal Barracks, Gütersloh. When not deployed, regimental personnel take part in a wide range of military, trade, sports and adventurous training, taking full advantage of the regiment's location in Germany.

6 Regiment is twinned with 159 Regiment RLC in the UK. The regiment is also responsible for managing the British Forces Germany Supply Training Facility where RLC Logistic Specialists from across Germany come to undergo specialist trade training.
