Daily life

Living with your friends in Army accommodation, you won’t have to look far to find someone to talk to or relax with. And with excellent Army facilities on hand, you’ll never be short of things to do…

Living on camp

The Army is not all about work, it's very much about having time with your friends, enjoying sports and relaxing in a safe and secure environment.

Time off

When you're off duty, there's plenty of time and opportunity to relax with your mates, play sports, go out shopping or visit your family.

SPORTS & ADVENTURE TRAINING

Sports and Adventure training play a vital part of Army life. Whether you want to pursue team or individual events, the Army will provide assistance.

Day to day in the Army

Every Army job is different, but when they’re not on a training exercise or operations, most soldiers work nine-to-five, Monday to Friday. What happens after that is up to you. You can socialise with your mates, use the free sports facilities on the base or visit the surrounding area. And if it’s the weekend, you can go home to see your family and other friends.

A multi-million pound building project has given the Army lots of brand-new, single accommodation. So if you decide to live on an Army base the chances are that you’ll get your own room, with its own bathroom. You can bring in home comforts like TVs and laptops. There are communal areas and kitchens where you can relax together after the end of the working day. Every camp has its own dining facilities as well, so you won’t always have to cook.
