Rejoining the Army

The Army values the experience of former officers and soldiers. If you’re a former Regular or a Territorial, and you’re missing Army life, then you might be able to rejoin. There are a range of ways to do this, depending on your age, rank and experience. If you meet our entry requirements you may be entitled to a special bounty payment for coming back.

HOW TO REJOIN

Depending on your situation you may be able to rejoin your old unit or, if you served as a Regular, you might choose to rejoin as a Territorial. If you have specialist skills the Army might pay you a bonus for returning. You will need to meet the same entry requirements as serving soldiers, and pass medical and physical tests, so start your application online now or talk to an Army Careers Adviser to find out more.
