Getting ready

The selection process checks that you’re ready to start Army training. It tests your ability to work as part of a team, your mental skills and your physical fitness. It’s demanding, but if you prepare well, you’ll improve your chance of passing. Use this section to find out what happens at the Assessment Centre and try out some practice tests.

Physical fitness is important in the Army, you might need to move heavy kit around or keep going on a long patrol. We'll give you all the support and facilities you need to get and stay fit.

Interviews with a Careers Adviser are all part of the selection process. This is to learn more about you, so we can match you to a role that best suits you.

Selection tests will highlight your strengths, ability, skills and test your literacy and numeracy.
