Why should you join

Being a Reservist asks more of you than most activities you could do in your spare time but the rewards are so much greater. You'll be part of a team with people from all walks of life. You'll develop new skills as you work and train together. The Army pays you for the time you put in and you get the chance to travel and take part in a range of social events.

Travel and experience

Most of your training will take place in the UK within the Battalion. But it’s important that you can do your job under different conditions, so sometimes training exercises take place overseas. You could find yourself parachuting in the states, or learning winter warfare in Norway. Many of these exercises include a small amount of time to see and experience more of the country you're visiting.
