4 MERCIAN
The Mercian Regiment 4th Battalion (4 MERCIAN) is the Territorial Army (TA) Battalion of The Mercian Regiment.
Our officers and soldiers come from all areas of society and from a variety of professions and occupations. We always have volunteers on operations serving in all corners of the world.
Our long heritage dates back to the beginning of the British Army through militias and, in the last 100 years, as the TA. Our volunteers were at the forefront of the First and Second World War and again in Iraq and Afghanistan upholding the proud volunteer heritage of the British people.
We have TA centres across the region, flying the flag for the whole Regimental family. If you are interested in joining, or just looking for more information about our role, background and traditions, follow the links on the left.
4 MERCIAN covers a large part of central England and has 10 TA Centres. The jobs available are sometimes limited by location, but all our TA centres offer a variety of jobs to meet everyone's needs.
