3rd Battalion - The Mercian Regiment (Staffords)
The 3rd Battalion The Mercian Regiment (Staffords), formerly the 1st Battalion the Staffordshire Regiment (The Prince of Wales's), is an armoured infantry battalion stationed in Bad Fallingbostel, Germany.
We are the armoured infantry component of 7th (Armoured) Brigade - the Desert Rats. The Battalion continues to train hard as the brigade prepares for operations in the near future.
The 'Staffords' continue to recruit soldiers from Staffordshire, the West Midlands and Birmingham.
