4 SCOTS
The Highlanders, 4th Battalion the Royal Regiment of Scotland (4 SCOTS) are based near Fallingbostel in Germany. It is an Armoured Infantry Battalion equipped with the Warrior Infantry fighting vehicle.
4 SCOTS have recently returned from serving in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. They deployed in the Spring 2011 for 6 months serving as part of 3 Commando Brigade on Op Herrick 14.
This was the battalions second tour in Afghanistan and they have also deployed to Iraq in recent years.
