Royal Anglian contact information

Personnel

The personal details of soldiers who served in the Regiment are not held at Bury St Edmunds.  They are located at the Army Personnel Centre (APC) in Glasgow.  If you want to enquire about a relation who served in the Regiment you should write to APC Glasgow with the Number, Rank, Name, Date of Discharge and Date of Birth of the subject.  There are two separate addresses for living and deceased.

Living:
Disclosures
Mailpoint 515
APC Glasgow
Kentigern House
65 Brown Street
GLASGOW  G2 8EX.

Deceased:
Historical Disclosures
Mailpoint 400
APC Glasgow
Kentigern House
65 Brown Street
GLASGOW  G2 8EX.

In both cases APC Glasgow will send to you specific forms for completion and will need proof of kinship to comply with the Data Protection Act.  In the case of living enquiries this should be some proof of identify (utility bill or driver's licence).  In the case of deceased enquiries it should, ideally, be a copy of the Death Certificate.

Historical Data.

Historical Data dating back to the formation of the Regiment is held at RHQ on CD-Rom.  This is very detailed and is for serious historical research.  This can be accessed by writing to:

BURY ST EDMUNDS
