1st Battalion Irish Guards

The Irish Guards are based in Victoria Barracks,Windsor. After taking the lead of a very successful Queens Birthday Parade, In which the Battalion Trooped their new Regimental Colours, preperation is now underway for the State Opening of Parliment in which the Battalion is heavily involved. In the New Year the Irish Guards will focus on deployment training ready for Operational Deployment in late 2010. The Battalion is made up of 5 companies and a variety of supporting arms. The opportunity for taking part in sport is fantastic Football, Boxing and Rugby are just some of what you can get involved with. There is also a wide variety of adventurous training packages which includes things such as Mountain Climbing, Sailing and White Water Rafting. All in all the Irish Guards can provide an exciting and diverse way of life.
