The Reserve Forces offered Colin everything he was looking for: learning new skills, a physical challenge, the chance to be part of a team and having the opportunity to go on tour if he opted to.
Chris joined the TA in 2007 because he wanted to see what Army life was like. He describes the TA as 'a second family' and he has made lots of friends. He enjoys adventure training and is hoping to complete his second tour of Afghanistan later this year.
Private Jimmy Robertson joined the TA in August 2008. He has developed self discipline and confidence and says the TA fits in well with his civilian life. He is hoping to be promoted to Lance Corporal and complete some driving courses in the future.
