Service contact information

If you are looking for any information regarding soldiers who have served in The Regiment, be aware that the Army Personnel Centre (APC) Glasgow holds all records. If you would like to know more about our antecedent regiments please visit our 'Association and museums' page on the left-hand side. Your first port of call for information should be the Regimental museums.

Individuals

The personal details of soldiers who served in The Regiment are not held at Bury St Edmunds. They are located at APC Glasgow, for those soldiers who served post 1919. If you want to enquire about a relation who served in The Regiment you should write to APC Glasgow with the Number, Rank, Name, Date of Discharge and Date of Birth of the subject. Follow the Veterans UK (service records) link (now in link on the right). There are also two separate postal addresses for living and deceased.

APC Glasgow general enquiries
Tel: 0141 224 3600

In both cases APC Glasgow will send to you specific forms for completion and will need proof of kinship to comply with the Data Protection Act. In the case of living enquiries this should be some proof of identify (utility bill or driver's license). In the case of deceased enquiries it should, ideally, be a copy of the Death Certificate.

For those soldiers who served during the Great War, surviving records can be found on 'find my past' website (see link in the right-hand column).

For those soldiers who served before the Great War, records can be found on the 'ancestory.co.uk' website (see link in the right-hand column).
