Regimental Headquarters

The Regimental Headquarters of the Grenadier Guards is based at Wellington Barracks, in London. Wherever the regiment is serving the Regimental Headquarters always remains in London.

The regiment places great importance on the ethos of the regimental family. The Grenadier Guards Association has its home within Regimental Headquarters.

The Colonel's Fund

The saying "once a Grenadier, always a Grenadier" was instrumental in the creation of The Colonel's Fund, which was established on the battalion's return from a six-month deployment in Afghanistan which ended in November 2007.

During this deployment the Grenadier Guards suffered five killed in action, numerous severe injuries such as lost limbs and loss of sight. The Colonel's Fund exists to support Grenadiers in need and their families.

H.R.H. Prince Philip is Colonel of the Grenadier Guards and patron of the fund.
