14 NOVEMBER 2009 - HUDDERSFIELD Vs WYCOMBE WANDERERS. Final Score 6-0 This was Huddersfield Towns football match dedicated to 'Help for Heroes' and around 50 members of The Yorkshire Regiment attended in uniform, at half time the Corps of Drums provided a guard of honour and drums presentation, which was given a good minute's applause before kick-off by the teams and fans from both sides.
12 NOVEMBER 2009- WARS OF THE ROSES, YORKS Vs LANCS.
The War of the Roses charity boxing match between The Yorkshire Regiment and the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment took place at Saviles Hall, Leeds. Nine bouts were held under Army Boxing Association rules and Lancashire Regiment won. On the night £120,000 was raised and was divided between Help for Heroes and the Regimental Associations that support serving, ex-serving and injured soldiers. The event also contained a reception and meal, entertainment by a military band quintet and a display by the Corps of Drums. The next Wars of the Roses boxing event will take place on Saturday 24 April 2010 and be held at Leeds United.
10 NOVEMBER 2009 - HUDDERSFIELD TOWN 
Huddersfield Town Football Club has kitted-out 50 of the Yorkshire Regiments Soldiers by donating thier first team shirts to the troops based in Afghanistan. This week, the shirts will be passed on to the Yorkshire Regiment ahead of Town’s match against Wycombe Wanderers at the Galpharm Stadium on Saturday 14 November which is to be dedicated to the Help for Heroes charity. Fifty plus soldiers from the Yorkshire Regiment will be at the game in uniform, and the Corps of drums will perform a guard of honour and Drums presentation as the players come onto the pitch and at half time there will be also be a 10-minute drum presentation.
