Headquarter Company is situated in Walcheren Barracks, Glasgow, which is named after the location of one of the Battalion's predecessors' most decisive victories of the Second World War.

Company Profile

Headquarter Company is responsible for providing logisical and administrative support for the battalion. The Company is based in Glasgow but some of its memers train with the other Companies, providing the benefit of their specialist training and expertise. 

If you join HQ Company, you might serve in the Signal Platoon who are responsible for our communications, the Catering Platoon who feed us, the Medical detachment who provide immediate first aid, the REME Light Aid Detachment (LAD) who provide mechanics to maintain the battalion vehicle fleet and armourers to maintain our weapons systems, or even the Recruiting Team who guide the next generation of 6 SCOTS soldiers from joining through to completion of their basic trianing.

The Battalion Headquarters (BHQ) is the heart of the Battalion. It is where the Commanding Officer and his HQ staff control the Battalion, assisted by the various departments of Headquarter Company.
