At Regimental Headquarters we hold approximately 40,000 documents of Welsh Guards Service Records. There is a small fee of £30.00 for the search and administration of all enquiries, except for widows and widowers.

Please note that we may not hold every single record. 

Steps To Be Taken Now

Widows/Widowers enquiring about the service of their deceased spouse must provide:

• A completed Certificate of Kinship and Request for service details of an Ex-Serviceman/Woman Search Document. Please click the link to the right.
• Proof of death if the service person died after leaving the service (Death Certificate)

Everyone else must send us:

• A completed Certificate of Kinship and Request for service details of an Ex-Serviceman/Woman Search Document. Please click the link to the right.
• Proof of death if the service person died after leaving the service (Death Certificate)
• A cheque for £30.00 made payable to: "Welsh Guards Lt Col Central Fund"
