Regimental Race Day
The Yorkshire Regiment's Regimental Race Day takes place annually at the Knavesmire Racecourse in York. The Regiment sponsors one of the featured races, the Yorkshire Regiment Maiden Stakes, which this year took place on the May Spring weekend, one of the prestigious meetings of the season.
The regiment books a modern suite in one of the main stands, usually for more than 200 guests and regimental supporters. During the race day, a sit-down lunch is served, along with afternoon tea. The excellent facilities include a seated balcony overlooking the finishing post, a private bar and Tote facilities within the suite. The ticket price represents a great deal compared to direct bookings.
The Regimental Race Day comes highly recommended - just ask anyone who has attended. Tickets need to be reserved and are very often snapped up by those in the know.
