Joining the Mercians
If you think you have got what it takes to join the Mercians, then we have got a job to suit you. Soldier or officer, regular or part time - we can offer it all.
The Mercian Regiment is made up of 3 regular battalions, all battle ready, and 1 territorial battalion. Our soldiers operate both on foot and in Warrior armoured fighting vehicles.
Our part-time territorial soldiers regularly attend training at Territorial Army centres across the Midlands and North West so they are ready to provide valuable support to their regular army colleagues on operations. We currently have over 130 TA soldiers deployed on operations in Afghanistan.
Join us and earn £16K a year after basic training.
