Regimental Support Teams

The Welsh Guards has two Regimental Support Teams (RSTs).

Both teams deliver an up-to-date presentation on life in the Army, the Infantry and the Welsh Guards. Both teams have a wealth of operational experience in various theatres as well as day-to-day life in a Regular Infantry Battalion. Following each presentation, the teams are open for a question and answer period.

The two teams also support the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) at Treorchy Comprehensive School as well as all Army Cadet Forces (ACF) in Wales on their various camps and on training nights when required.

The RSTs also assists various charities like Children in Need, Tenevous Cancer Research and LATCH which is a voluntary organisation set up support the special requirements of the children's oncology centre in Wales which is based at the Children's Hospital for Wales to help affected families and promote research in childhood cancer.

• Team North covers the whole of North Wales and South to Aberystwyth
• Team South covers south and West Wales to Aberystwyth

Insight courses

The RSTs also provide insight courses in Cavalry Barracks, Hounslow over a three day weekend period starting on a Friday through to a Sunday to contacts or applicants who have shown an interest in joining the Welsh Guards.
