The Yorkshire Regiment recruits soldiers from across the historic county of Yorkshire, The North East and from all Commonwealth Countries. If you live in or have connections with Yorkshire, The Yorkshire Regiment or Anticedent Regiments, The Prince of Wales Own Regiment of Yorkshire, The Green Howards Or The Duke of Wellington's Regiment then this is your local Infantry Regiment. For soldiers who want to the best in sports, operations and training we offer careers in the following roles:
- INFANTRY SOLDIER - full-time or spare-time
- NON-INFANTRY TRADES - spare-time, includes posts open to female Territorial Army Soldiers
SPEND A WEEK WITH THE ARMY
Why not spend a week with the Yorkshire Regiment on one of our Yorkshire Warrior courses, if you dont have a week to spare we also do a one day course. The course will not cost you anything but your time, enthusiasum and determination. ARMY FOUNDATION COLLEGE HARROGATE
At the Army Foundation College at Harrogate (AFC(H)) we train the future soldiers from a wide variety of cap badges. If you are a school leaver aged between 16 and 17 years and one month of age on joining, the AFC(H) offers a unique opportunity to learn as you earn.
FURTHER EDUCATION BURSARY SCHEME
If you are interested in joining the Army,and studying (or intending to study) in further education, you could be eligible to earn up to £5000 cash award to help you through your studies; £1000 for each year you spend at college (maximum 4 years) and £1000 on completion of the first stage of Army training. You will then get to start your Army career, building your future.
