Basketball
The Army Basketball Association was formed on the 6 July 1939 to encourage the game at unit level.
The ABBA continue to perform well in the Inter-Services. In 1996, the then Chairman (Col Tony Barton) resurrected the "Warriors" name and logo for the Army Squad.
Since then they have gone from strength to strength, winning the Wessex League several years running and also competing in (and winning) the annual Caister Tournament.
Between 1998 and 2003, the ABBA joined forces with the Thames Valley Tigers from Bracknell.
