Oxbridge victories for Army Rugby Union
As the Army Rugby Union (ARU) moves into its second century we are playing as much competitive and representative rugby as ever. Despite extremely demanding operational commitments 60 teams entered last years Community and Premiership Cup Competitions.
A great deal of hard work and dedication from our volunteers across the Army is what provides the opportunity for our men and women to play rugby and I and the ARU Management Board are extremely grateful.
More than 50,000 watched the Army team retain the Inter Services Trophy with our seventh consecutive 'Grand Slam'. Similarly our Women's Senior XV have not only dominated the Inter Services Competition, but having defeated the NZ Army - they claim international bragging rights.
