Your chance to meet the Army

Every year the Army hosts a number of evening presentations throughout the UK. These are delivered by the Army Presentation Team, which consists of three Officers and two soldiers, all with recent operational experience. Their main aim is to raise awareness and understanding of the Army.

What to expect

An informative multimedia presentation covers why we have an Army and what we do on the nation's behalf. It also looks at how we train and develop our people, their quality and the part our soldiers play in our successes. Our equipment and capabilities are also explored. The presentation also explains what our soldiers can offer the civilian community when they leave the Army. And finally we explain some of the challenges the Army faces today.

Afterwards there's a frank question and answer session - a chance to ask the presenters anything about the Army or Army policy. The aim is to set the scene for more informal questions over supper and a drink, forging closer links between the Army and the community.

Charity Support

At the end of all our presentations guests can, if they wish, contribute to our charity appeal. We support three Army-related charities, The Army Benevolent Fund, British Limbless Ex Service Men's Association (BLESMA) and St Dunstan's for the Blind. More information on the work done by these extraordinary organisations can be found below. Thank you to all our guests for their kind contributions - this year we have raised in excess of £32,000 for these very worthy causes.
