Staff Sergeant Anthony Burrell

Anthony is a Staff Sergeant in the Royal Logistic Corps and has served on operations in Northern Ireland, Iraq and Afghanistan. He joined the AEG in August 2014.

Staff Sergeant Anthony Burrell left Birmingham and joined the army in 2001. He trained as an infantry soldier in The 1st Battalion Irish Guards based in Munster, Germany and has served in both the Liberation of Iraq 2003 and South Armagh 2004. He has performed ceremonial duties, the highlight being Trooping of the Colours in 2004.

A keen fitness enthusiast, Anthony trained and qualified as a physical training before seeking a new challenge and transferring to the Royal Logistic Corps in 2008 as a Postal and Courier Operator. During his time in the Royal Logistic Corps he has worked in London and deployed to Afghanistan before joining the Group in August 2014. He thoroughly enjoys all forms of physical activity and has represented The 1st Battalion Irish Guards and The Royal Logistic Corps at both cross country and athletics.
