Captain Paul Vidler

Paul is a Captain in the Royal Logistic Corps who has served in the UK and Falkland Islands.

Captain Paul Vidler was commissioned into the Royal Logistic Corps in 2012. He served with 7 Regiment in Cottesmore as a General Transport Troop Commander. He was then appointed the Regimental Training Officer, deploying soldiers on a Short term Training Team to Uganda and preparing the Regiment for their committed year.

After attending the Port and Maritime Operations Officers’ Course he became the Operations Officer for 51 Port Squadron, 17 Port and Maritime Regiment in Marchwood Military Port. In 2016 he completed a six month tour of the Falkland Islands as Port Commandant of the only Deep Water Port for the Islands before returning to 52 Port Squadron as Second in Command.

He was appointed SO3 of the Army Engagement Group in May 2017. An Army level swimmer and water polo player, he also enjoys scuba diving and skiing.
