Sergeant Nicola Sloan

Nicola is a Sergeant in the Royal Logistic Corps and has served in operations in Northern Ireland, Afghanistan and Kosovo.

Sergeant Sloan joined the army in December 2000.  After completing her initial training at the Army Training Centre Pirbright she moved to Leconfield to complete her trade training as a Driver.

In 2001 she deployed to Kosovo as a fuel tanker driver before deploying to Afghanistan in 2004, where she drove a Battlefield Ambulance designed to extract casualties in the heat of battle. She also spend time in northern Ireland in 2008 as a Staff Car Driver.

Nicola has also worked in Canada and Gibraltar as a Driving Maintenance Instructor on Armoured Vehicles such as Bulldogs and CVRTs.

She was appointed as the Technical Sergeant of the Army Engagement Group in February 2017. She enjoys placing hockey and football and completes endurance events to raise money for charity.
